Mark Mowbray
Law Enforcement Professional
Instructor/Consultant
Mark Mowbray is the founder of Mowbray Elite Performance Solutions LLC. He is a veteran of both the United States Marine Corps and the United States Army. His career has been defined by service in high-stress environments where the ability to remain composed, think clearly, and lead effectively can directly influence outcomes. Through his work as an instructor and consultant, Mark helps professionals develop the skills necessary to manage crisis situations, regulate stress, and respond with clarity, confidence, and professionalism.
Mark began his public service career in the corrections profession, working daily in environments heavily impacted by mental health challenges, crisis behavior, and volatile interactions. This experience gave him firsthand insight into how quickly situations can escalate when individuals are overwhelmed by stress, trauma, or emotional distress. These early experiences shaped his long-standing commitment to developing practical strategies for crisis recognition, effective communication, and de-escalation.
His law enforcement career includes service as both a State Trooper and Police Officer, responding to a wide range of emergencies and complex incidents involving individuals in crisis. Mark has served on Crisis Negotiation Teams and Special Response Teams, where these skills were tested in some of the most volatile and high-risk situations. Through these experiences, he saw firsthand how maintaining composure, communicating effectively, and managing one’s own stress response can directly influence the outcome of critical encounters.
Mark is also the developer of the Take Point Mindset, a framework centered on personal responsibility, leadership, and proactive decision-making under pressure. The philosophy emphasizes stepping forward when situations are most difficult—taking ownership of the moment, maintaining control of one’s mindset, and guiding situations toward better outcomes. These principles form the foundation of his instruction and reflect the real-world leadership required when operating in crisis environments.
